The Scottish electro pop band wants to work with Drizzy.
By Brenna Ehrlich
Drake has collaborated with his share of artists over the years — mostly recently, it seems, with Beyoncé — and pretty soon, he might be able to add another to his roster: Chvrches. Yup, the Scottish electro-pop act is keen to work with Drizzy.
When asked who Chvrches would want to collaborate with if given the chance, the band's Martin Doherty told MTV News simply, "Drake."
Lead singer Lauren Mayberry was less sure. "I honestly don't know," she said. "I've not really thought about this a huge amount. ... I would need to make a list and think about it in an organized manner, which I haven't done yet."
Doherty then whispered, holding an imaginary telephone to his ear, "Drake, call me." We guess he, at least, has thought it through.
Chvrches has been building up buzz since the release of their Recover EP in March, which was soon followed by their debut LP, The Bones of What You Believe, earlier this week. Replete with dark, dancey pop, the album was inspired by "a lot of sci-fi and horror scores from the '80s," according to bandmember Iain Cook.
The trio has yet to collaborate with any other acts yet, but they have busted out some impressive covers that show off their range over the last year, most recently Whitney Houston's "It's Not Right, but It's Okay" on BBC Radio 1.
Given their chops on Houston's track — not to mention their own record — perhaps that call from Drake isn't that far away.
Last week, Chvrches performed at MTV Hive's Artist to Watch Live event. You can check out their performance, which includes singles "Recover" and "The Mother We Share," above.

The roster for Batman's upcoming video game continues to grow. The latest reveal comes from Amazon after the website posted the information for the project's score. The track list presents two very interesting names -- one a reoccurring character the other making their debut in the franchise. Track 4 is "Killer Croc" and track 23 is "The Thieving Magpie."
Are you excited about these characters being in the game? Are there any more characters you're hoping to see in the game? Batman: Arkham Origins will finally be yours to own on October 25th.
The full track list of course gives a pretty detailed rundown of the story mode, so if you want to check that out, take a peek at its page over at Amazon.
It's possible Magpie actually isn't in the game. As pointed out by the Viner TenEyedMen, "The Thieving Magpie" is taken directly from a classic opera.

At the Global Citizen Festival on Saturday night (September 28), Kings of Leon played their hit "Sex on Fire," and Alicia Keys showed all 60,000 attendees how she was a "Girl on Fire." So when it came time for John Mayer to perform at the massive charity concert, he set the crowd ablaze with "Wildfire" just after sunset.
Mayer stood on the fiery red stage, knees bent to allow maximum bouncing and jamming, as he launched into his Paradise Valley track. The keyboards were crystal clear, and when the chorus came around, Central Park clapped along.
The Manhattan skyline rose above the park, and fans packed in, anticipating songs like "Half of My Heart" and "Paper Doll," and he delivered. Mayer didn't cut anything short or alter his jams for the diverse crowd full of Alicia Keys and Elvis Costello fans (Costello and Janelle Monae showed up for surprise performances throughout the night). He kept his songs lengthy, cradling his guitar for robust solos full of high-fretted finger work. A cover of the Grateful Dead's "Goin' Down the Road Feeling Bad" was one such example.
"Waiting on the World to Change" transformed into a falsetto rendition of Marvin Gaye's "Inner City Blues." And the show-ending "Gravity" turned into a park-wide karaoke event. Mayer took a few minutes to jam before concluding the set with a big bass, kick drum conclusion.
Philanthropists, nonprofit leaders and celebrities like Olivia Wilde, will.i.am and Gerard Butler co-hosted during the night. Stevie Wonder closed out the show and played John Lennon's "Imagine," using his platform to call out lax gun laws.
