Each week we like to take a close look at some comic book collectibles. That means opening up the packaging. This week we taking a look at more LEGO sets. More specifically, we'll be looking at a couple Star Wars sets - the Z-95 Headhunter and an AT-RT.
The Z-95 Headhunter, as you can see, contains 373 pieces. It's a pretty big ship. It also contains some new figures from the 501st Legion - a Clone Trooper and a Clone Pilot.
As always, the key to speedy building is opening the bags, one at a time and sorting the pieces. Then move on to the next.
Compared to the LEGO X-Wing, this is a pretty big ship. It's both wide and long.
Even though the Clone Troopers are supposed to be identical, it's nice seeing a slight difference between thise two figures.
As with the other Star Wars ships, it's surprising to see the amount of detail that LEGO can squeeze in. The canopy is pretty cool even though it's pretty small. The wingspan is impressive and the jets on the back are pretty cool.
Behind the canopy, there's a compartment where they can store a gun and binoculars.
This set also comes with the Jedi General Pong Krell. If you've watched The Clone Wars, you know his story. Basically he was a Jedi and...he wasn't too nice of a guy. (Check out this clip of him versus a bunch of Clone Troopers HERE). He had his own motives and wanted to become a Sith. He has four arms and two double-bladed lightsabers.
I should also mention the ship has a missile on the bottom that can be launched.
The second set is the AT-RT.
This set contains 222 pieces. It comes with the 501st Legion Clone Trooper, Yoda and (another new figure) a Commando Droid Captain. Aside from the AT-RT, you can also build a Droideka.
The AT-RT is pretty impressive for its size. Despite only having the two legs, it is pretty sturdy and you can even change the position of them. The gun at the front swivels as well.
It's great having Yoda here but is he really necessary to fight off one Battle Droid and Droideka?
LEGO and Star Wars are always a great combination. The only bad thing is, where to keep these once they're assembled?
That's it for this week. Let us know below what you thought of these and if you have any Star Wars LEGO sets. We'll have another collectible featured soon.
